About the Author Dr. Muhammad Jamil Ghazi, may Allah have mercy on his soul, passed away about seven or eight years ago. After graduating from al-Azhar University, Sheik Ghazi dedicated his life studying, teaching and reviving the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him. His major affiliation in these endeavors was with the Ansar al Sunnah organization in Egypt. Besides the present book, Sheik Ghazi wrote and edited many important books relative to understanding Islam as preached and practiced by al Salah al Salhih. Some of the titles which were published in Arabic in the 1970's and 1980's are: al Hasanah wal Sayyi'ah li Ibn Tamiyyah (1972), Istishhad al Husayn li Ibn Kathir wa Ra's al Husayn li Ibn Taymiyyah 1979), Tafsir Surat Ibrahim 'alayhil salam (1980), Al Sufiyyah: al Wajh al Akhar (1980), and al Takhwif min al Nar wal Tarif bi Hal Dar al Bawar li Ibn Rajab (1981). About the Book At last, an English translation of a book on the topic of marriage and divorce, that is easy to read and understand. This, along with the user friendly format, make this book a must for every library. It includes the steps which should be taken before considering a divorce, as well as the steps which should be taken after deciding to divorce. The author succeeds in "engaging in the battle against religious ignorance." He uses the Ayaats of the Qur'aan and the authentic Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) to clearly educate the reader to the rights of the husband and wife in the marriage relationship. He states, rather profoundly, that one of the most important aspects of this book is to say to its readers, "Islam is certainly evidence against people and that the actions of the people are not an evidence against Islam." Even though the main focus of the book is divorce, the author has included chapters on "The Beauty of Married Life" and "The Fear of Recalcitrance and Brutality" which list the steps to be taken before divorce is considered. The chapters are a bonus to the reader and a reminder to us all to fear Allah (SWT). Please enter your shipping information below: All Domestic Shipping is Via Priority Mail and is $4.60.
